In Switzerland, we work every day to broaden the use of generics further to improve the health of patients, while making the Swiss healthcare system more financially sustainable. Today, the generics market in Switzerland results in savings of almost 500M CHF per year for the Swiss healthcare system!

As BPA Manager you will support the Swiss business with advanced business and financial analysis, planning and reporting activities. You will act as a finance business partner, playing a key role that provides insightful and value-added analysis in supporting decision-making processes of the local management team.

Major Accountabilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the operational conversion of the BPA strategic goals within a dedicated area of the business
  • Provide management with accurate, relevant business analysis to support monthly operational reviews and ad-hoc requests, and ensure timely and accurate information gathering.
  • Perform analysis to evaluate risks or opportunities; make recommendations to mitigate these risks.
  • Manage and provide financial analysis and decision making support for business cases.
  • Ensure ongoing business performance is appropriately monitored and measured, and drive early warning for re-direction of resources.
  • Provide accurate operational information and advice to support the annual budgeting, rolling forecast and Strategic Planning processes.
  • Ensure integrity of data provided by commercial teams, and provide value added; provide recommendations on forecast accuracy improvement.
  • Provide well managed and quality financial analysis in order to improve business case proposals and profitability tracking.
  • Continually improve and streamline existing management reporting processes and support the definition and implementation of lean processes to meet the changing demands of the business.
  • Drive continuous improvement and streamline management reporting processes to adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Partner closely with both Specialty and Retail local business units to drive performance, offering strategic financial support and alignment.
  • Track key performance metrics for both business units to ensure they align with organizational goals.
  • Oversee cost and investment control, advising for the optimal allocation of resources and effective management of both top- and bottom-line performance.
  • Manage the planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes with a focus on delivering accurate financial projections aligned with business objectives.
  • Coordinate month-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely completion of financial reporting.
  • Inventory and write-offs management, aligning processes with Supply Chain team to minimize financial risks.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in financial controlling in a multinational environment (generics or fast-moving consumer goods industry preferred)
  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration or other relevant field of a leading business school or top university (MBA or CPA a plus)
  • Fluent in English (oral and written), German is a plus
  • Financial experience in a local organization, cross functional and international team preferred
  • Analytical thinking and financial modeling
  • Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of BI, Qlik, Power BI
