Your responsibilities

The incidence of obesity, particularly among children, is increasing worldwide. Our laboratory focuses on the development of obesity and its associated comorbidities, such as insulin resistance and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). This proposal aims to improve our understanding of the pathophysiology and the impact of obesity onset during childhood. To achieve this, we have developed a mouse model to explore these issues. The current project has the potential to identify novel therapeutic targets for the prevention and/or treatment of obesity and insulin resistance.

• You conduct experiments and standard analyses (PCR, RT-PCR, Western Blot, immunohistochemistry, ELISA, etc.) with high precision.
• The electronic documentation of analyses and experiments is part of your responsibilities.
• You participate in the data discussions of the research group.
• You contribute to writing publications.

Your profile

• Strong fine motor skills are required to perform experiments on mice
• Experience in animal handling is advantageous
• A Master of Science in Human Biology, Biomedicine, or a related field is preferred

The salary is based on the rates of the Swiss National Science Foundation.
